ACCEPT To Replace MOTÖRHEAD At Denmark's GIANTS OF ROCK Festival

July 8, 2005

Reunited German metal legends ACCEPT will be replacing MOTÖRHEAD on the billing of the Giants of Rock festival, set to take place Sunday, July 10 at the Gentofte Stadium in Copenhagen, Denmark. Also scheduled to appear are RAMMSTEIN, SLAYER, MÖTÖRHEAD and HAMMERFALL. Tickets are currently available from www.billetnet.dk for 350 DKK (about 50 euros).

As previously reported, MOTÖRHEAD frontman Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister was recently hospitalized in Germany, forcing MOTÖRHEAD to cancel a handful of European gigs. German physicians diagnosed him with "extreme dehydration, leading to exhaustion."

In late 2000, MOTÖRHEAD canceled a number of shows so Lemmy could recover from exhaustion, flu and a lung infection, according to MTV.com. Kilmister was hospitalized in Italy and remained under care for about two weeks.
